Funeral services for Jessee A. Carlton, 98, of Muskogee, OK, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, February 14, 2013 at Immanuel Baptist Church in Muskogee with Reverend Adrian Totty officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home of Muskogee.
Jessee was born July 20, 1914 at Gatesville, TX, the son of Ben and Lena Carlton and died Monday, February 11, 2013 in Muskogee. Prior to retirement, Jessee worked as an electrical inspector for the city of Muskogee. For 64 years he was a grand member of the Order of Odd Fellow, Excelsior Lodge #325.
Survivors include his daughter, Alice Jo Stoll of Muskogee; two sons, David Carlton and wife, Kay, of Flower Mound, TX, adopted son, Jerry Carlton and wife, Margie, of California; 11 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Jessee was preceded in death by his wife, Buena; daughter, Jessie Ann Brown; sisters and brothers.
