Norma Jean (Kelton) Milligan

1953 - 2013

— Heaven has gained another angel as our beloved, Jean, left us to be with her Heavenly Father. Norma Jean (Kelton) Milligan, 60, Of Muskogee entered into rest on Thursday, February 7, 2013.

 She was born January 16, 1953 to Leslie and Doris (Fairchild) Kelton in Muskogee, OK. Jean attended school in Muskogee, and at age 16 married her childhood sweetheart, Ronald E. Milligan, of Muskogee, with whom she celebrated 42 loving years of marriage and two children. Jean fought and won the battle with cancer in 1983. She was the patriarch of the family, and was often sought after for advice and loving care. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and a joy to all who knew her.

Jean enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, watching movies, and going to the casino. She will be remembered for her colorful personality and one-of-a-kind sense of style. Jean leaves behind a legacy of loving children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Jean was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ethel and Lois Fairchild; and her father, Leslie Kelton. She is survived by her husband, Ronnie; one son, Ronald Jay Milligan and wife, Tiffany, of Muskogee; one daughter, Renea Hobbs and husband, Rodney, of Muskogee; her mother, Doris (Fairchild) Kelton of Muskogee; sister, Geraldine Hill and husband, Jack, of Muskogee; seven grandchildren, Nick Hobbs, Charlie Hobbs, Accalia Hobbs, Sidney Milligan, Ronald Milligan III, Tiffany Grace Jean Milligan, and Maya Milligan; many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, February 11, 2013 at Greenhill Cemetery in Muskogee with Billy Fowler officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home of Muskogee.
