Mary Lousie Berry

1926-2013

— Mary Louise Berry, a longtime resident of Checotah, Oklahoma, went to be with Jesus at 6:45 p.m. January 29, 2013.

She enjoyed creative crafting and making a large variety of crafts from her home – “The Berry Patch.” She was a Quilt Guild member where she learned to be an excellent quilter. She loved her family, sharing her talents with them thru gifts she had made. She was employed by SW Bell for many years. She was a professional dancer and loved the senior citizens dances. She was a devoted wife to her husband of over 20 years, Larkin Howell.

Mary is survived by brother, Oni Donald Parker and wife Audrene; sister, Marie Mullins; son, Richard Grissom; husband, Larkin Howell; grandchildren, Ladonna McKay, Wesley Jones, Ranae Funk and Michelle Hardesty; great grandchildren, Kristina Gawf, Jessica Gawf, Mason Gawf, Autumn Nichols, Cheyenne Nichols, Chase Jones, Brooke Jones, Kendall Jones, Corey Grissom, Bailey Johnson, Michael Johnson and Andy Branson.

She was preceded in death by parents, Oni and Ruby Parker; sisters, Alice Scott and Betty May; brothers, John Parker and Bob Parker and daughter, Eva Clark.

Services will be held Saturday February 9, 2013 at 1:00 p.m., at the Checotah Funeral Service Chapel with Reverend Wendall Cox officiating.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Checotah Funeral and Cremation Service.
