Kathryn Thompson McGlasson

1920 - 2013

— Kathryn Thompson McGlasson was born April 1, 1920 in Poteau, Oklahoma, to Fred L. and Mamie (Halloway) Thompson. She passed from this life January 8, 2013 in Antlers, Oklahoma, at the age of 92.

 Kathryn graduated from Muskogee Central High School in 1938. She had lived in the Antlers area for the past 20 years and was a member of the United Methodist Church.  Kathryn was a member of the DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution), 20th Century Club, & United Methodist Women.  She enjoyed sewing and growing African Violets, but mostly, spending time with her family and friends.

 Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. & Mrs. F.L. Thompson and sister, Doris Ellington Schmidt.

 She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Wingfield & husband Mike of Antlers; grandchildren, Sarah Garrett & David Wingfield; great-grandchild, Victoria Hampton; and a niece, Suzanne Burke of Naperville, Illinois; as well as many other relatives and friends.

 Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, January 11, 2013 at the United Methodist Church with Reverend Phil Beatty officiating. Music will be played by Johnnie Epperson and includes: “Amazing Grace”, “Blessed Assurance”, & “Hymn of Promise”.

 Interment will follow at 2:00 PM, Friday, January 11, 2013 at Green Hill Cemetery in Muskogee, Oklahoma.
