Gloria Virginia “Susie” Trusley

1930 - 2012

— Gloria Virginia “Susie” Trusley, 82, of Oklahoma City died at her home on Friday October 26, 2012. Susie was born on June 8, 1930 in Checotah to John Daniel and Lue Vena (Hood) Karr. Susie, which she was affectionately known as in Checotah, grew up here and after Oliver Trusley returned from the service they were married on November 19, 1954 in McAlester. Together they moved to Oklahoma City where they raised their family. Upon Oliver retiring they spent many years in Port Isabel, TX and Eufaula near the lake. Susie loved to travel driving to every state in the United States except Hawaii. She and Oliver had traveled overseas spending time in Germany.

Susie was preceded in death by her parents, brother Robert Karr, brother Richard Karr, sister Patsy Patterson, twin sons Eddie and Freddie Davis, grandson Jay Trusley and son in-law Ronnie Sprouse. She is survived by her husband Oliver of the home, daughter Frankie Sprouse of OKC; daughter Connie Ramos and her husband Sammy of OKC; son Johnny Trusley of Moore; son David Trusley and his wife Kelly of Newcastle; son Steven Trusley and his wife Marti of OKC; grandchildren Chris Collins, LaDonna Sprouse, Stacie Camp, Craig Trusley, Derek Trusley, Kara Corbett, Chelsey Ramos, Terra Trusley, Richie Buie, Brandon Buie and Tye Scalf; great grandchildren Jared, Aaron , Logan, Christian, Stephanie, Brenton, Caroline and Paisley; sisters Billie Amoruso of Norman, Annabelle Payne of Morris, Bobbie Lerblance of Checotah and Mary Morgan of Hugo; many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday October 30, 2012 in Checotah Funeral Service Chapel. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery.
