Donald Welch

1951-2012

— Donald Ray Welch age 61 passed this life on Thursday October 18, 2012 at his home in Muskogee OK. He was born to H.G. and Joyce (Needham) Welch on January 19, 1951 in Conroe, Texas. He came to live in Muskogee in 1997, where he worked as an automotive mechanic from the age of 14. In 2003 he, and Rick Raigoza started their business D and R Auto Service where he continued to work until June 2012 until his health forced him to retire. Donald was an honest and hardworking man and one of the best shade tree mechanics. He was always willing to help those in need and will be missed by many.

Donald is survived by his life partner and soul mate Carla Galindo of the home, his sons; Casey Foster and wife Shelly of Muskogee, Jeremy Bryan and wife April of Boynton, Tommy and Donald Welch of Texas. He also has several grandchildren; Halle Foster, John Cloftin, Daniel Bryan, Robert, Randy, and Hope Doak. Donald was a father figure to Heather Tovar and Joseph Gallardo. He was also known as “Daddy Don” to Marylou, Daisy and Selena Cervantes of Madera, California.

A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Church of the Living Water located at 327 Eastside Blvd. in Muskogee.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Shipman Cremation & Funeral Service in Muskogee.
