A.M. UPDATE: Downtown shops plan longer shopping hours

Several downtown retailers have announced they will keep longer hours each Thursday until Christmas.  Shops in the Antiques District on South Main and Daniel’s Jewelry in ShadowWood Mall will be open until 8 p.m. Arrowhead Mall will also have extended hours between now and Christmas Day.

“We had a very successful Ol’ Time Downtown Christmas,” states Tom Rothrock, co-owner of Miss B’s Emporium in the Antiques District. “We expect to be busy until Christmas.”

Later shopping hours on Thursdays used to be a tradition in Muskogee’s downtown for many years.
