Thirty-one high school junior and senior students from 11 area high schools are taking special math and science classes through the Oklahoma School of Science and Math Regional Centers on the Muskogee, Stilwell and Tahlequah campuses of Indian Capital Technology Center. OSSM was established by the Oklahoma Legislature in 1983 to educate academically gifted high school students in advanced mathematics and science. The primary focus of the OSSM regional centers are AP Calculus AB and BC and AP Physics C Mechanics.
All students attending high schools in the service area of ICTC are eligible to apply for admission to OSSM Regional Center classes. The application deadline is March 29. Applications can be downloaded at: www.ictctech.com/ossm.htm.
