OBI blood drives slated this month

— The Oklahoma Blood Institute has several blood drives planned in January.

Donation times, dates, and locations:

• 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, VA Medical Center Auditorium, 1011 Honor Heights Drive.

• 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, in the OBI bloodmobile parked at Walmart, 1000 W. Shawnee Bypass.

Each donor will receive an OBI ball cap, health screenings and Donor Rewards points, redeemable for items in OBI’s online store.

Donors can pass on receiving the ball cap, and OBI will instead donate the amount of the cap’s value to the Global Blood Fund.
