Two men were charged Thursday with first-degree robbery in the beating and robbery of an elderly Muskogee man.

Markell Grass, 19, and Robin Hill, 20, were each charged in Muskogee County District Court with one count of first-degree robbery.

Both men are held on $100,000 bond each at the Muskogee County/City Detention Facility and both return to court for a sounding docket at 10 a.m. Dec. 20. At that time, a date will be set for a preliminary hearing.

Grass and Hill are accused of robbing Jim Baskins, 77, in his home, taking two guns and two cell phones from him after severely beating him.

A conviction carries a minimum of 10 years in prison.
