Four Muskogee schools received Jimmie Johnson Foundation/Lowe’s Toolbox for Education Champions Grants today.
They are:
• Alice Robertson Junior High, $90,000 to improve the school stage.
• Creek Elementary, to create a fitness course and cooling station.
• Irving Elementary and Pershing Elementary, $50,000 for digital keyboard labs.
The schools were among 10 schools in Oklahoma, North Carolina and California to receive grants totaling nearly $600,000.
Jimmy Johnson’s wife, Chandra Johnson, is from Muskogee.
