NAACP branch’s banquet set tonight

— The Muskogee NAACP Branch will celebrate its annual Freedom Fund Banquet at 6 p.m. today at the Faith Deliverance Christian Center-Destiny Center at 401 Independence St.

The theme is “Your Power, Your Decision — VOTE.”

Dr. Edwin Strickland, principal of Alice Robertson Junior High School, will be the keynote speaker.

The 2012 Image Awards honorees will be: Linda Hytche, Debbie Horsechief, Stella Hughes Derrick and Lansing Lee.

Tickets will be available at the door starting at 5 p.m. today. Cost is $30 for adults or a table of eight for $200.
