The public is invited to Cry Out America, a free prayer event from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Muskogee Civic Center. Everyone is welcome to hear speaking, singing, memorials and join the prayer walk. Bring your lawn chair or blanket.
Jada McWilliams, Muskogee County Coordinator for Cry Out America, said scheduled guests include the United Keetoowah Band Cherokee honor guard, Muskogee Mayor John Tyler Hammons, Crossroads Church youth praise and worship band, Muscogee Creek National Council Chief of Staff Windfield Marshall, Bacone College Professor of Christian Ministries Dr. Leroy Thompson, Muskogee Fire Chief Derek Tatum, the Christian Motorcycle Association of Muskogee, Pastor Ed Groves from Heavenly Hope Church in Porum, and Muskogee NAACP President Derrick Reed.
