Fire trucks and police responded to a call around 6 p.m. Thursday from Davis Field, where a four-seater plane landed without using landing gear.
No smoke or flames were evident at the end of the runway where the plane came to rest on it’s belly.
A woman, who said she owned the plane, arrived at 6:20 p.m. to check on the situation.
She said her husband was the pilot.
He called her immediately after landing and he was not injured, she said, but she did not know the extent of damage to the plane.
