A Porum man charged with two felonies involving stolen property is expected to make an initial appearance today, a prosecutor said.
Chris Shrum, 49, is charged with two counts of knowingly concealing stolen property, according to Muskogee County District Court records.
The court filing states Shrum concealed:
• A flatbed trailer that had been stolen on or about May 28 from Michael Blake near Porum.
• A cattle alleyway (used to guide cattle) stolen from Terry Rodebush of McCurtain on or about July 23.
A statement from a county deputy says three deputies also found a stolen four-wheeler on Shrum’s property.
Shrum said he purchased the four-wheeler from an individual, officials said. Deputies are investigating the sale history of the item before prosecutors decide whom to file charges against, said Muskogee County District Attorney Larry Moore.
Meanwhile, Shrum is free on $10,000 bond, according to Muskogee County/City Detention Facility records.
The court filing states each charge against Shrum is punishable by either imprisonment in the state penitentiary for up to five years or up to one year in the county jail and/or a fine not to exceed $500.
