Cherokees offer class on ODOT bidding

TAHLEQUAH — The Cherokee Nation is hosting a workshop to teach Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program members how to bid on state and federal roads projects. The class is from 6 to 8 p.m. Sept. 26 in the Osiyo Training Room, behind the Restaurant of the Cherokees, 17793 U.S. 62 in Tahlequah.

The Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program ensures that small businesses can compete fairly for federally funded transportation-related projects. The workshop will teach DBE members how to contract with the Oklahoma Department of Transportation and the U.S. Department of Transportation.

The deadline for registration is Sept. 25.
