Councilors approve cancellation of meetings

— City councilors approved the cancellation of two regularly scheduled meetings.

City Clerk Pam Bates said the Public Works and Finance committees will not meet Dec. 18. The Dec. 26 City Council meeting also was canceled. Both cancellations were approved because of the Christmas and New Year’s holidays.

Officials said if a serious situation arises during the latter part of December, a special meeting would be called to deal with the matter.
