P.M. UPDATE: Voter registration deadline Friday

— Qualified Oklahoma residents who want to cast a ballot in the Nov. 6 general election must apply for registration Friday.

In Muskogee County, voters have until 5 p.m. Friday to register in person. Applications that are mailed must bear Friday’s postmark

Oklahoma’s voter identification law requires the name — not the address — on the form of identification presented before voting substantially matches the name listed on the precinct registry.

Voters have until 5 p.m. Oct. 31 to request a mail-in absentee ballot.
