MHS students serve vets Monday at restaurant

Muskogee High School cheerleader Lindsi Skinner serves drinks to veteran Eddman Shook, right, and his son Evan Shook during Golden Corral’s 12th annual Military Appreciation Monday. Muskogee High School Junior ROTC presented colors and led the national anthem and prayer at the event, while MHS cheerleaders and football players served. Veterans ate free Monday evening, with hundreds attending and the Muskogee chapter of Disabled American Veterans collecting donations at the door. Manager Rick Poslick said the Muskogee DAV and Muskogee Golden Corral collect the largest donations in the nation each year.
