1,800 in-person absentee votes cast

— Muskogee County voters cast 558 ballots Saturday, the second day of in-person absentee voting, bringing the two-day total to 1,866 early votes cast in the presidential election year.

Muskogee County Election Board officials, who anticipate 4,000 or more ballots will be cast by the time the in-person absentee voting period closes Monday, said 1,308 people voted Friday.

In addition to the presidential election, voters are weighing in on federal, state and county races, six state questions and the retention of several appellate court justices and judges.

Early voting will continue from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday at county election offices statewide. Precinct polling will be from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday.
