The Jack C. Montgomery VA Medical Center will offer free valet parking for veterans beginning Monday.
Veterans who wish to use the service should drive their vehicle to the main entrance doors and hand their keys over to a valet attendant, who will give them a numbered ticked and park their vehicle. When the veteran is ready to leave the medical center, they return to the main entrance and show the ticket to the valet attendant, who will then retrieve their vehicle. No tipping is allowed, but any donations will be given to VA’s Voluntary Service.
“I am extremely pleased to offer this new service for our veterans,” Associate Medical Center Director Bryan C. Matthews said in a media release. “This will set the tone for their entire visit. Our motto is ‘Excellence Starts Here,’ and we want every veteran’s experience at the medical center to be exactly that — excellent.”
Liberty Management Services, LLC, based out of Fort Smith, Ark., will manage the service. The company is owned by Jamie Narramore, a service disabled veteran.
The free service is available on a first-come, first-served basis from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays.
