Pancake breakfast to get out vote

Early voters in Muskogee County will be treated to a free pancake breakfast Saturday morning as the Muskogee County Democratic Party kicks off its Souls to the Polls voting drive.

The event, which is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. Saturday at the Muskogee Civic Center, will feature live entertainment, pancakes, sausage, orange juice and coffee. Entertainers will include individuals and various local church choirs.

“We are doing this in conjunction with the early voting effort which begins Friday,” Chairman Dennis Wilhite said. “We will also be offering rides to the pancake breakfast as well as to the Muskogee County Election Board for those that need a ride to either place.”

Anyone who needs a ride to the event or additional information should call Wilhite at (918) 680-1942 or Jim Haley, (918) 625-0240.
