BREAKING NEWS: Downtown Muskogee Inc., executive director resigns

— Jonita Mullins, executive director for Downtown Muskogee Inc., has resigned from DMI to pursue other interests, according to a media release.

Mullins has been executive director for five years.

Under her direction, Muskogee received national recognition with the Dozen Distinctive Destinations Award, which heralded Muskogee as a place to visit while on vacation or when in search of western frontier history.

Mullins, a member of the Oklahoma Historical Society, says she plans to complete a novel she has been working on and pursue her interest in historic preservation.
