Schuyler Carter of Muskogee is one of approximately 135 students from Dordt College of Sioux Center, Iowa, spending spring break doing service projects throughout the United States and Canada. Carter is a junior majoring in agriculture with an emphasis in agribusiness. She is in a group of about 10 who will go to Neon, Ky.
As part of a desire to make service a part of everyday life, these students chose to participate in a weeklong mission trip with the group Putting Love Into Action.
The students will do a wide variety of jobs, including home repair and painting, cleanup of center grounds or facilities, and child care or teaching.
