Jury selection begins today in the trial of a Muskogee man accused of shooting and killing a 2-year-old boy.
Elbert Lee Meeks, 22, is charged with first-degree felony murder in the Dec. 21, 2011, slaying of Ja’Cion Logan.
Meeks is alleged to have tried to enter a home in the 1100 block of Indianapolis Street that night, eventually firing a handgun while his arm was stuck through an open front door. The bullet struck the 2-year-old in the head, killing him.
