Muskogee Public Schools will host two public meetings to present information and receive community feedback about a proposed bond issue. The first meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Feb. 28 at the B.E.S.T. Center boardroom, 202 W. Broadway. The second meeting will take place at 7 p.m. March 7 at Muskogee High School, 3200 E. Shawnee Bypass.
The proposed bond issue includes items that address technology and building maintenance at all schools, as well as additional math, science, engineering and biomedical facilities at ARJH and MHS. The $44.5 million bond issue will not increase taxes. The issue will be presented to the Board of Education for approval on March 12. If approved, voting will take place on May 14.
