One clear winner came out of the Wagoner County primary election Tuesday.
Republican Lori Hendricks won the Wagoner County clerk position, according to the Wagoner County Election Board’s unofficial results.
Hendricks will take over for the incumbent, Carolyn Kusler, who is retiring.
There were no Democratic candidates in the race.
Hendricks received 2,511 votes, or 52.08 percent of the vote. Laura Miller received 1,390 votes, or 28.83 percent of the vote, while Tom Vincent received 920 votes, or 19.08 percent of the vote.
Hendricks is the first deputy county clerk. Hendricks said she has worked in the county clerk’s office for about 18 months and has been “training for this job.”
“I feel great, just very pleased and obviously humbled to win this and not have to go into a runoff,” Hendricks said. “I have a lot of people to thank. I didn’t do this alone, and I look forward to serving the people of Wagoner County.”
Bob Snodgrass won the Republican primary and will face Democrat Chris Edwards for Wagoner County commissioner, District 2 in the general election Nov. 6.
Snodgrass received 917 votes, or 74.67 percent of the Republican vote. Tom Lorincz received 311 votes or 25.33 percent of the vote.
Edwards received 965 votes, or 58.81 percent of the Democratic vote. Larry Hall received 676 votes or 41.19 percent.
Republicans Rhonda Vincent and Jim Hight will face each other in the runoff election Aug. 28 for county court clerk.
There were no Democratic candidates in the race.
Vincent received 1,511 votes or 31.91 percent of the vote, while Hight received 1,421 votes or 30.01 percent.
Candidates Tom Beighle received 979 votes, or 20.68 percent of the vote, and Tammy Alsip received 824 votes, or 17.40 percent of the vote.
