WARNER — Connors State College is offering two special evening horticulture classes for the spring semester — Vegetable Plant Production, beginning March 9 and Beginning Floral Design, beginning March 8.
Each class meets one night each week for five weeks. Classes will be taught by Debby Golden. Students may enroll at this time.
The Vegetable Plant Production class (HORT 2301 W02) is a five-week course and will include the basics in germinating and growing vegetable plants. The class meets from 6-8:40 p.m. Tuesday on the Warner campus for the following weeks: March 9, 23, 30, April 6, 13.
Beginning Floral Design (HORT 2652 W01 and W02) will highlight basic principles, line designs, arrangement types, basic mechanics of arrangements, and flower types. The eight-week course meets from 4:30-6:10 p.m. Monday evenings for the lecture and 6:10–9:30 p.m. for hands-on lab. The class will meet for the following weeks: March 8, 22, 29, April 5, 12, 19, 26, May 3. In addition to tuition, a lab fee of $96 will cover containers, foam, flowers, etc. for all labs.
For students not requiring college credit and/or not interested in the lecture portion of the floral design class, they may enroll in a one hour credit course HORT 2301 W01 Floral Design Lab only.
The cost for each is $85.07 per credit hour. Enrollment can be completed at the Registrar’s office at the Muskogee Downtown or Warner campuses. Offices for enrollment are open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Senior citizens 65 or older can apply to have their tuition waived by contacting Lance Allee in the Warner campus advisement office: 463-6309.
A copy of your driver’s license will be required to waive tuition along with completion of a simple one-page application.
