The Descendants of Freedmen of the Five Civilized Tribes Association and their supporters will gather at 2 p.m. Saturday in Muskogee for a Christmas luncheon at the Martin Luther King Center at 627 N. Third St.
Attendees are asked to bring a covered dish to share. Persons of all races, creeds, colors and tribal affiliations are invited to attend. Following the meal, a question-and-answer session will be held for those who have questions regarding the association and or current events in Washington, D.C., affecting the rights of the descendants of Freedmen tribal members.
