An Adair County woman was injured early Monday morning when she walked into the path of a tractor-trailer rig, according to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report.
Amanda Nicole Wilson, 25, of Stilwell was stable when she was admitted to Stilwell Memorial Hospital, the report said, but her condition was unavailable.
Wilson was on the side of the road on U.S. 59 about 4 1/2 miles south of Stilwell around 2:30 a.m.
According to the report, James Gordon Davis, 43, also of Stilwell, was driving a 2001 Peterbilt southbound when he saw Wilson on the side of the road and swerved. Wilson continued into the road and stepped into the side of the vehicle. Davis was not injured.
