A Muskogee restaurant owner was arrested Monday on complaints of assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a firearm while under the influence.
Lester Ray Rouse, 61, the owner of Kat Daddy’s Bar and Grill, was arrested at approximately 2:28 p.m., according to a police report. Police received a call of a man in the bar of the restaurant with a gun, according to the report.
Restaurant employee John C. Pritchard, 24, of Muskogee said Rouse had threatened him with a gun and had been drinking, states the report turned in by Muskogee Police Officer Justin Wardour.
Wardour’s report said when he arrived at the restaurant at the southwest entrance of Arrowhead Mall, 501 N. Main St., he saw Rouse sitting on a bar stool. Rouse told Wardour that he had a couple of drinks and did have a .40-caliber Glock on the bar while having his drinks.
Kat Daddy’s Bar and Grill opened Friday, but was not open when the arrest took place, said Police Department spokesman Brad Holt.
The restaurant remained closed Monday and is expected to be open today.
