Sentencing for a man found guilty in August of first-degree murder has been delayed.
Clinton Ray Potts, 35, was found guilty by a jury in the December 2004 slaying of Gregory Leroy Clark. The jury earlier recommended a life sentence without parole. The new sentencing date is Dec. 2.
Clark, 35, was found face down in his front yard about five miles south of Boynton. He had been shot twice in the arms but was beaten to death, according to an autopsy report.
After he was dead, someone cut his face and slit his throat.
