A 4-year-old left home alone was found standing in a driveway at 1:41 a.m. Friday in the 300 Block of South 21st Street, according to a police report.
The child was left with the parent when the parent returned, Police Lt. Bobby Lee said early Friday morning. A patrol officer made a referral to the Department of Human Services.
“She (parent) said she went to the store and a friend was supposed to be there caring for the child. We haven’t been able to contact that friend yet,” Lee said.
