Muskogee Public Library will be doing a “Food for Fines” drive for one week starting Nov. 30 and continuing through Dec. 5.
Food for Fines will allow Muskogee Public Library patrons who have DVD/video fines to bring one non-perishable food item for each $1 of fines up to $10. Non-perishable items such as canned goods, pasta or macaroni and cheese are great for food drives. The collected food items will be donated to one of the local organizations to help someone in need this holiday season.
Muskogee Public Library only charges late fees for DVDs and videos. This drive is only for late fines, not for lost books.
This is a chance for Muskogee Public Library patrons to help someone in need and help themselves at the same time.
This drive is only for the first week of December and only available at Muskogee Public Library.
Information: Debbie Goodwin, 682-6657.
