P.M. UPDATE: Opinions sought for transportation plan

As part of the State Long Range Transportation Plan, the Oklahoma Department of Transportation is conducting a survey of what is important to Oklahomans. This plan will guide ODOT’s policies for the next 25 years. Updated every five years, the plan was last revised in 2005.

Survey results will be part of the plan, which will include information and policies related to highways, airports, rural transit, waterways, rail, pedestrians and bicyclists. The plan will address goals related to transportation and the economy; safety and security; accessibility and mobility; freight/shipping options and maintenance.

The survey takes about 10 minutes to complete and can be filled out online: www.oklongrangeplan.com.

In addition to participation in the survey, users can get information about the long-range plan and its use, as well as the opportunity to e-mail additional comments.

The survey can also be printed and hard copies mailed to ODOT Planning & Research Division, 200 N.E. 21st St., Oklahoma City 73105. The deadline for submitting the survey or making comments is Dec. 1.
