An undercover cocaine investigation resulted in the arrest of more than 20 individuals, including a Wagoner man.
Angelo Buck Coulter III, 36, was arrested at his residence on Fillmore Street.
The Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics said dozens of officers from several departments fanned out just after 6 a.m. Wednesday with 24 arrest warrants and 14 search warrants.
The lengthy investigation began in 1999, said OBN spokesman Mark Woodward.
“We identified a primary crack cocaine source in Fort Worth,” he said. “We also identified several local drug dealers responsible for distributing the cocaine from Fort Worth into communities throughout Pontotoc, Garvin, Murray, Carter and Wagoner counties.”
The primary target of the investigation, Jeffrey Scott of Fort Worth, Texas, was arrested two weeks ago.
The 24 individuals arrested Wednesday were getting crack cocaine shipments from Scott and distributing the drugs in several communities around Oklahoma, Woodward said.
Coulter was transported to the Pontotoc County Jail on a complaint of conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance (crack cocaine), Woodward said.
