A Tahlequah woman was sentenced to three years probation Wednesday and ordered to pay $28,000 in restitution for embezzlement of government funds, said U.S. Attorney Sheldon Sperling.
Denise K. Page, 56, pleaded guilty in July to stealing $28,800 belonging to Arvest Bank of Wagoner. She admitted she made several fictitious loans and cashed the checks, Sperling said.
The crime allegedly occurred from about January 2006 until about December 2006.
