Brian Lee Stopp of Muskogee pleaded guilty Wednesday to being a felon in possession of firearms, said U.S. Attorney Sheldon Sperling.
Stopp, 40, was indicted in September 2009. During the execution of a federal search warrant on Stopp’s residence, agents located two semi-automatic pistols.
Sentencing will be scheduled following completion of a presentence report. Stopp faces up to 10 years in prison and/or up to $250,000 in fines, Sperling said.
A preliminary calculation of sentencing guidelines projects a sentence of 57-71 months imprisonment.
