A motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene after striking a deer Thursday on Oklahoma 2, one mile south and two miles east of Quinton in Haskell County.
James Dodson, 67, of Longtown was driving a 2005 Harley-Davidson southbound on Oklahoma 2 at approximately 6 a.m., in dense fog when the accident happened, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
Dodson was transported to Mallory Funeral Home in Stigler.
He was wearing a helmet, the trooper’s report states.
