EMT Jeffery Brown, 31, of Wagoner was pronounced dead at the scene of a one-vehicle accident at 12:17 a.m. Sunday.
He was a passenger in a 1991 GMC pickup driven by Keith Lowell Wilson, 25, of Wagoner. The driver was flown to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, admitted in stable condition with head, trunk-external, trunk-internal, arm and leg injuries, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
The pickup was eastbound on County Road 700, approximately three miles east and four miles north of Wagoner, the OHP said.
It failed to negotiate a curve and ran off the roadway to the right and overturned an undetermined amount of times.
The driver had been drinking and his ability was impaired, the OHP report said.
The cause of the collision was listed as “alcohol-DUI/DWI.”
Brown was pinned in the vehicle and was extricated by Whitehorn Cove Fire Department.
Services for Brown are pending with Shipman Funeral Home and Crematory in Wagoner.
