The Muskogee Nonprofit Resource Center and Muskogee Young Professionals (MYPROS) will kick off an internship program to help young professionals become more involved with the community.
The New Voices program will kick-off with a special “speed boarding” event 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at LaQuinta Inn, 3031 Military Blvd.
The event will feature a speed-dating set-up in which nonprofit organizations meet with interested individuals for three to seven minutes.
The program will provide participants with a year-long experience of serving on the board of directors of a local nonprofit organization.
“New Voices is not a new idea, just a rejuvenation of individuals giving of their time and skills,” said Kim Lynch, Muskogee Nonprofit Resource Center’s executive director.
Purpose of the program is to create a greater diversity within the leadership of Muskogee area nonprofit organizations.
Information: 683-4600.
