A pursuit before dawn Tuesday resulted in the arrest of a Muskogee man and injury to a policeman.
Rodney J. Jacobs, 39, sent police on a high-speed chase that began at 3:38 a.m. at Augusta and Cook streets. It ended off U.S. 64 when Jacobs ran into a ditch trying to turn east on Elm Grove Road, police said.
Police first noticed Jacobs after he was seen driving left of center. He was driving with a suspended license, police said.
When stopped, he refused to open his car window. An officer broke the car window to get him out, cutting his hand doing so. The injury required stitches, said Police Lt. Bobby Lee.
