Character Council of Muskogee is presenting Parent University, a seminar that teaches families how to build a stronger family unit through recognizing, building, and encouraging character.
The seminar will be from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday in the Sadler Arts Academy Auditorium.
The seminar can help parents learn:
• How to praise children for good character.
• What traps to avoid so that recognition is not counterproductive.
• How to give public character recognitions.
• How to approach family members when you don't see eye-to-eye.
• What makes an effective appeal and how to teach it to children.
Parent University is open to the public. There is no cost to attend. Activities will be available for children age 3 and older while parents attend the seminar.
Funded in part by the City of Muskogee Foundation.
