Ramona Butler, a cook at the Warner Senior Nutrition Center, received the Forman Carlile Award during Warner’s Annual Cow Chip Day earlier this month.
The Forman Carlile Award was established several years ago by the Warner Chamber of Commerce in honor of Forman Carlile. It is presented to someone respected in the community, who has a high regard for public interest and who volunteers time to people and organizations in need.
As the senior center’s cook, Butler has fed 50 to 60 senior citizens three days a week for more than 17 years. She is a member of Warner First Baptist Church and has helped with meals for numerous funerals and other functions.
