WARNER — Approximately 1,000 Warner-area high school juniors and seniors attended the recent College Fair on the campus of Connors State College.
Organized by the CSC Director of Recruitment Lance Allee, the high school participants had opportunities to visit 45 booths setup by colleges, universities and businesses.
“This was a great event for high school students to visit our campus and at the same time meet with representatives from other institutions of higher education and representatives and business concerns within our area,” Allee said.
“We had college representatives from our state, Kansas, Arkansas, and Missouri.” he said.
Cheryl Wilson, from Kinta, graduated two years ago and just happened to be on campus to visit with CSC advisers about furthering her education.
“I want to get into a nursing program, and there were several colleges here that offered that,” she said.
Allee said the fair was an annual event, and Connors officials are already planning for next year.
