uneral services for a Westville man and his son who died in a collision in Delaware County have been set.
Services for Toney Gerald Bennett, 28, and Elijah Daniel Bennett, 4, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Roberts Chapel Funeral Home in Westville.
The two-car collision happened at approximately 1 p.m. Sunday just west of West Siloam Springs.
Randy Jackson, assistant police chief of West Siloam Springs, said Toney Bennett was pulling his 1987 Oldsmobile onto U.S. 412 at New Life Road when the car was struck by a 1999 Dodge Ram pickup driven by Tyler Shea Doublehead, 18.
Jackson said Bennett’s car came to rest 76 feet from the point of impact. He said Bennett was dead at the scene. Elijah Daniel Bennett, 4, was taken to Siloam Springs Memorial Hospital, where he died, he said.
Jackson said the child was in a child-restraint seat. He said no citations were issued.
