Connors State College President Dr. Donnie Nero will speak Wednesday at the University of Central Oklahoma as part of their Black History Month celebration.
Nero, 13th president of Connors State College and the first African American to serve as president of a predominately white college, will give the 7th annual Black History keynote address at 2 p.m. in the Heritage Room of the Nigh University Center. The event is hosted by UCO’s African American Faculty Staff Association, African American Alumni Association, Multicultural Student Services and the Black Student Association.
Nero will highlight Black History Month and its role in society as part of his keynote address.
The public is encouraged and welcome to attend all events.
