A 70-year-old Gore woman has pleaded guilty in federal court in Muskogee to maliciously assaulting her 73-year-old husband with a stick.
Gussie Mae Kelley pleaded guilty to assault with a dangerous weapon with intent to do bodily harm and assimilated assault and battery domestic violence.
Charges arose from an investigation by the FBI, the Cherokee Nation Marshal Service and the Sequoyah County Sheriff’s Department, said U.S. Attorney Sheldon J. Sperling.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Steven P. Shreder ordered a presentence report and will set a sentencing date when the report is received.
