Three area residents hurt in crash

— Three Warner residents were injured Tuesday in a two-vehicle collision, according to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report.

James Heistand, 78, was listed in critical condition Wednesday at EASTAR Hospital in Muskogee, a hospital spokesman said.

Treva Heistand, 55, and Melissa Schecter, 35, were treated and released at the scene.

According to the report, James Heistand was driving a 2004 Chevrolet truck northbound on North South 432 Road in Warner at 10:15 a.m. when Schecter, who was driving a 2000 Buick Sable westbound on College Road, ran a stop sign and collided with Heistand. Heistand was partially ejected out of the driver’s side window. No one was wearing a seat belt, and both vehicles’ airbags did deploy.
