Fort Gibson woman charged in collisions

— A Fort Gibson woman was charged Thursday after being arrested earlier in the week following a series of collisions in Muskogee.

Lonnie Faye Murphy, 47, was charged with:

• Assault with a dangerous weapon;

• Possession of controlled dangerous substance;

• Driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs; and

• Leaving the scene of accident involving damage.

Murphy, also known as Osborn, allegedly collided with three cars at Martin Luther King and Main streets about 3:45 p.m. Monday.

She also is accused of hitting two more cars at Main Street and Shawnee Bypass and a Toyota Camry before heading east on Shawnee Bypass.

Court documents filed in the case allege Murphy had cocaine in her possession at the time of the crashes and was under the influence of alprazolam and hydrocodone.

Murphy is set to return to court Feb. 11 for a preliminary hearing.
